English<->Polish Talking Dictionary is the translation software which can be used either at home or in the office. You can easily install the dictionary on a desktop computer and get the indispensable help in translating words from English to Polish and from Polish to English. The dictionary is noted for its capability to pronounce all the listed English words. If you need to hear a word, just select it and click on the User's Toolbar button. A specially developed Text-To-Speech (TTS) technology applied in the dictionary converts text to speech. The Talking Dictionary delivers instant word translation and reverse translation proving the correct understanding. You can choose the most appropriate meaning of the translated word among several translations the dictionary offers you. You can also use the Quick search function: enter a few characters and the word starting with them and its translations will be displayed. For the convenience of users the English words in the dictionary are supplied with the transcription given in brackets. So before making the software say a word you can read the transcription and try to pronounce it without using the Text-to-Speech engine. The Talking Partner Dictionary will be a great aid in practicing your English pronunciation. Quick search function. Search function for any sequence of characters entered in the input line. Quick reverse translation for proof of correct understanding. Setting the type and size of characters used in the Main Window and in the Translation Window. Adjustable user's toolbar. Additional features: Pronunciation of all the listed English words. The function is developed on the basis of the TTS (Text-to-Speech) technology. Transcription of English words. User vocabulary: the user's own dictionary is compiled by adding and editing dictionary entries. English Grammar Module. The Module includes grammar rules divided into 3 sections: Parts of Speech, Verbs and Sentence. The first section describes nouns, articles, prepositions, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns and numerals. In the section "Verbs" you can find rules referring to tenses of verbs, special verb forms. The "Sentence" section is devoted to statements and commands, questions and negations. The Module is a great aid for the English grammar study. Instant translation of a text fragment, quick paste function: merely select the text fragment for import from an application and press hotkeys Ctrl+Insert+Insert. The text fragment will be automatically inserted in the input line and the most relevant dictionary entry will be displayed. Parts of speech filter.
